Aris to indorse proposals for national gov’t funding

All Bohol towns will soon have their own favorite infrastructure projects courtesy of Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco.

This after Evasco met the Bohol mayors yesterday at the Dao Diamond Hotel and Restaurant in Dao District, this city, to discuss how they can avail of funds from the national government.

Evasco said the mayors can hand in their proposals to Rep. Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado (Bohol, 2nd District). In turn, Aumentado will forward the proposals to Evasco, and the latter, to the national government agency concerned.

He says the project can be a road, multi-purpose building, irrigation or small water impounding project and the like.

Present at the meeting were 37 local chief executives, including Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell Yap.

Of the 47 town mayors, 11 failed to attend the meeting due to equally pressing previously arranged appointments.
