A Boholana based in Ayala-Alabang and two of her friends have been implicated in the gruesome murder of a 17-year-old helper whose head was chopped off while her body was dumped in Bulacan, according to reports from ABS-CBN, Philippine Daily Inquirer and the Philippine News Agency.
Earlier, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to conduct an investigation on the brutal killing of 17-year-old Richelle Sagang, who went to Manila for work to help her poor family back home in Zamboanga del Norte.
Unconfirmed reports said that Sagang had allegedly stolen items from her employer.
Named as suspects in the alleged brutal killing of Sagang are Aleli Froilan Yap (alias Enriquita Rosemarie Legaspi), the alleged employer of Sagang whose roots can be traced in Tagbilaran City, Bohol; Akiko Nyron Lindon (alias Nyron Uy, Leon Marcos); and Chrissa Mae Aniel Chali.
Secretary Aguirre, in a memorandum, said: “The National Bureau of Investigation through Director Dante Gierran, is hereby directed and granted to conduct investigation and case build up over the death of Richelle Sagang of Zamboanga City, who was shot to death and whose severed head was found in Makati City while the body was dumped in Bulacan in January 2017.”
Reports from national media outlets revealed that Sagang, who worked as housemaid at Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City and was shot to death and beheaded.
Sagang’s decapitated body was found in Sta. Maria, Bulacan while her head was found floating at a creek in Makati City, according to national media accounts.
Sagang’s picture taken by the security guards that day provided leads to investigators as the clothes matched the clothing of the decapitated body.
The victim’s father, Noel, a farmer said he knew that the victim was his daughter based on the scars on both feet, same face shape and forehead. Also, the body of the victim was wearing long-sleeved black shirt and blue leggings, the same clothes her daughter was wearing in the pictures taken by Ayala Alabang Village security officers.
Reacting to the gruesome killing of Sagang, a netizen wrote on Inquirer.net: “This is a test case of the Duterte administration to show its much vaunted fame to be pro-poor to extend help to the poor farmer-father from Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte who went all the way to Manila to claim the dead body of his 17-year old daughter whose head and body were found many kilometers apart probably intended by those involved to sow confusion to mislead investigators in the gruesome murder case that was believed perpetrated by rich and influential people from Ayala-Alabang.”
