Cruise ship to dock tomorrow; 4 luxury vessels slated in ’16-17

M/S Hanseatic, a small adventure cruise ship of Hapag Lloyd carrying 174 passengers and 120 crew, will drop anchor at the Tagbilaran Port on Monday (Oct. 10).

The cruise ship’s stopover here is expected to boost tourism activities in the city and in the countryside, according to the City Tourism Office through a letter sent to City Mayor Baba Yap from Travel Village Tours and Travel, which handles the luxury ship’s port call.

On November 11, 2016, M/S Pacific Venus, carrying some 500 Japanese passengers, will make a port call at Tagbilaran Pier.

Next year, three luxury cruise ships have been scheduled to dock at the Port of Tagbilaran.

M/S Voyager, with a capacity of 650 passengers, will make a stopover here, on January 27, 2016.

Then, on February 14, 2017 (Valentine’s Day), M/S Europa 2, a 5-star cruise ship, will return to Bohol.

The fifth cruise ship slated to dock here is M/S Europa. Scheduled to make a port call on March 12, 2017, the ship has a capacity of 400 passengers and 380 crew members.
