Holy Name University scored a perfect 100 passing rate in the recently concluded board examinations for medical technologists.
The results came out this week showing all 74 examinees from HNU passed the examinations that were held in cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena and Tuguegarao.
However, none of the examinees from HNU made it to the top 10.
HNU shared the top spot with three other Visayan schools namely Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, University of San Agustin in Iloilo and Cebu Doctors University in Cebu.
All four tertiary institutions garnered a 100 percent passing rate in the August 2017 examinations, which results were released by the Professional Regulatory Commission three days after the examination date.
The members of the Board of Medical Technology who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Marietta C. Baccay, Chairman; Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco, the press release from the PRC said.
A student from Notre Dame of Marbel University, Marianne Ross Bacia Soldevilla, topped the examinations with a rating of 90.90 percent, followed by Glenn Charls Lagumbay Buelis of University of Immaculate Conception-Davao and Renrenz Tiangco Payumo of Far Eastern University.
The medical technology program of HNU is among the youngest programs in the entire country.
The passing of all of its examinees can be considered quite an achivement considering the length of time the program has been offered by the University.
